Just Buy Live, an online distributor that connects retailers to consumer brands, has raised $20Mn in its Series A round of funding from Alpha Capital Advisors. Alpha Capital is a Mumbai-based Investment Management firm headed by Vishal Ootam and co-founded by Vivek Anand PS. Mohandas Pai is a member of its board of advisors.
Founded in February 2015 by Bharat Balachandran and Sahil Sani, Just Buy, empowers retailers to buy goods directly from brands. Using the app, the retailers can avail easy credit, wide variety of offers and higher business margins. The app directly connects major brand across multiple categories to retailers in the country.
A retailer can access multiple products across various categories from multiple brands and can buy them 24X7, and the order will get delivered to the preferred address.
Sahil Sani, Chairman & CEO of Just Buy Live said that the company is targeting to expand to 500 cities and to have one-lakh users by end of 2016 as told to PTI.
Currently, the app deals in products including FMCG, packaged food, water & beverages, lighting & electrical, mobiles & mobile accessories, consumer durables, cosmetics, watches, auto accessories & auto parts, sports goods, apparel, toys & games, software, religious articles, industrial supplies, etc. The company has over 25,000 registered retailers and operates in 15 cities across 10 states.
