Infosys Kris Gopalakrishnan & Japanese Investor Teruhide Sato Invests In Software Testing Startup, 99Tests

Bangalore-based crowdsourced software testing platform, 99Tests Software Pvt Ltd has raised undisclosed amount in funding led by Infosys co-founder Kris Gopalakrishnan and Japanese investor Teruhide Sato, reports TOI.

Founded in 2010, by Praveen Singh, 99Tests provides on-demand access to freelance software testers to test their products on cloud and find and fix bugs quickly.

99Tests claims it has over 12,000 testers across the world on its platform and has served testing needs of various companies including consumer internet companies such as Flipkart, Practo, Cleartrip, Ibibo, Foodpanda, BlueStone and a few US-based companies including Ennovent and NetConference.

Prior to this 99test has acquired $200K angel funding and $10K seed funding from investors including Senior Director, Product Management at Oracle, Indus Khaitan.

After bidding adieu to Infosys, Goplakrishnan launched incubator, Axilor Ventures and has invested in many startups since then. Earlier in the months Kris invested in a Bangalore-based ecommerce platform SellerworX Online Services and Mysuru-based clean energy company Vigyanlabs. He has also invested in startups like chat message app Lookup, food tech startup Freshworld, and Chennai-based Uniphore.
