Healthcare Startup Care24 Raises Funding From India Quotient

Mumbai-based home healthcare startup, Care24, has raised about $350K (INR 2.25 Cr.) in a funding round from India Quotient.

Founded in 2014 by Vipin Pathak, Garima Tripathi, Abhishek Tiwari and Pranshu Sharma, Care24, is a homecare platform which connects the caregivers and patients. The startups facilitates from prescription to complete recovery. Its services include nurse at home, physiotherapy at home, attendant at home and infant care services.

Currently it has operations in Mumbai and has helped more than 1000 people heal at home. Currently, the startup has 200+ caregivers across categories including nurses, physiotherapists, attendants and infant care.

With 50 transactions per day, the portal is planning to add new service verticals. Abhishek Tiwari, co-founder of Care24 said, “We are also looking at adding travel assistants and equipment renting as part of the platform.”

The raised capital will be used to train on-boarded caregivers and expand to more localities in Mumbai.

Other companies operating in this space include Accel and IFC backed Portea while players like Apollo Hospitals, Dabur and Medwell Ventures are said to be big competitors of the portal.
